Yes, we all know what the newest offering from Apple Inc. has to offer to all of its users. With the powerful Retina Display, A5X processor chip, 4G LTE connection and a powerful battery, the new iPad instantly took the tablet world by storm. The resolution that the Retina Display featured has been deemed as the highest, compared to the other mobiles available in the market. Thus, the new iPad is currently, very proudly, wearing the ‘best tablet’ crown. However, the Windows 8 could act as tough competition for the new iPad, which I’ve already talked about and the new iPad and its competitors (part 1). Not only, the Windows 8, the Google Android and the Ultrabook can also be powerful competitors in their own right!
As mentioned above, the Google Android might just take away the ‘best tablet’ title from the new iPad. Many of you might already know that in 2011, manufacturers introduced the Google Android to the world, in hopes that it’ll be what most people have called as the ‘iPad killer’. However, the reception wasn’t something, which was expected and the iPad sales faced no decline. According to Andy Rubin, Android creator, Goggle will ‘double down’ on the tablet space in 2012. I actually have no idea what he meant by ‘double down’, either way, it’s an indication that they’ll come up with something, which will try to dethrone the new iPad.

You might be thinking that the ‘Ultrabook’ isn’t a tablet and thus, it couldn’t possibly have any effect on the new iPad. Ultrabooks are Intel-driven; very thin laptops which feature powerful specs. Thus, though it might not affect the new iPad as a Samsung tablet or Windows 8 could. However, people caught in between the new iPad and a portable laptop, might go for the Ultrabook.

Anyway, it’s clear that currently Apples ‘the new iPad’ is the device to beat in the tablet world!
